It is a critical piece of infrastructure that serves the balancing needs of the Montney and Canadian LNG demand growth.","The Younger Extraction Plant is strategically located near Taylor, BC in the liquids-rich Montney area and straddles a high-volume pipeline transmission system that transports natural gas to end markets. The Younger Extraction Plant processes natural gas to recover natural gas liquids. AltaGas also owns a 30 percent interest in a 250 Mmcf/d natural gas pipeline that brings liquids-rich gas from the Montney area of British Columbia to the Younger Extraction Plant. The Younger Extraction Plant has a licenced capacity to process up to 750 Mmcf/d of natural gas. AltaGas' share of the natural gas processing capacity is 425 Mmcf/d. AltaGas owns 50 percent of the facilities related to fractionation, storage, loading, treating or terminalling of NGLs.","Pipestone II is currently under construction and is fully owned and operated by AltaGas. It will provide an additional 100 MMcf/d of sour deep-cut natural gas processing capacity and an additional 20,000 Bbls/d of liquids handling capabilities. The project is adjacent to Pipestone, which AltaGas acquired in December 2023, and is being constructed on a fixed price turnkey basis for the majority of the capital costs. When complete, this project will deliver critical gas processing and liquids handling capacity in the Pipestone region of Alberta, which is one of the fastest growing liquids-rich natural gas developments in Canada."]
