Cor brings over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, both in the field and at the executive level. He played a key role in the exploration, development, and production of two mines and has served as a Director and/or Officer for multiple successful public mining companies. Cor also has past experience as a fully licensed Investment Advisor and Branch Manager at a national brokerage firm. As a Professional Geologist, Mining Engineering Technologist, and Gemologist, Cor holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) and the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists (NAPEG). Over the past six years, Cor has been instrumental in securing more than $100 million in funding for Sitka Gold. As Sitka’s leader and co-founder, he remains dedicated to driving shareholder value and advancing the company’s growth.

Donald Penner, B.Sc.
President and Director
Mr Penner brings over 40 years of technical and managerial experience in mineral industry. Mr Penner graduated in 1976 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology. Throughout his career, he gained extensive experience at all levels of mineral property evaluation from grassroots to feasibility-stage on projects in Canada, United States, Africa, South America and Europe. During the late 1970’s, Mr. Penner was a key participant in the discovery of several silver/lead deposits in the central Yukon. His success continued as a member of the exploration team that discovered the Eskay Creek deposit for Prime Resources Ltd in the late 1980’s. Other world class deposits he worked on include Donlin Creek in Alaska and Galore Creek in northwestern British Columbia for NovaGold Resources Ltd. Mr. Penner founded his own successful geological consulting practice in 1990 which he operated for 30 years.

Mike Burke, B.Sc., P.Geo.
Director and VP of Corporate Development
Mike has over 35 years experience in the mining industry primarily in the Yukon. Mike’s career has covered a wide range of experience including 20 years with the Yukon Geological Survey where he was the Head of Mineral Services. Mike was responsible for liaising with prospectors, mining and exploration companies, visiting active exploration sites, authoring the annual Yukon Mining, Development and Exploration Overview and presenting information on Yukon to investment bankers, financial institutions and mining analysts in meetings and conferences around the world. Mike also has experience as an exploration and mine Geologist earlier in his career and was fortunate to be part of the exploration team that discovered the Sa Dena Hes lead-zinc mine and the Ketza River Gold mine in the Yukon. Most recently, Mike was the Chief Geologist for Golden Predator in Yukon and Senior Operations Manager for Ensero Solutions, an environmental and engineering consulting firm. Mr. Burke holds a BSc in Geology from the University of British Columbia, is a Professional Geologist with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists. Additionally, Mike is a Director of the Yukon Chamber of Mines (YCM). He has served on the Board of the YCM continuously since 2013 including holding the role of President from 2015-2019.

Gilles Dessureau, M.Sc., P.Geo.
VP Exploration
Mr. Dessureau is a Professional Geologist with over 20 years of experience in the mineral exploration and development industry in Canada, focused on the Western Cordillera, including Yukon and British Columbia, as well as other locations throughout North America such as Nevada, Ontario, and Quebec. Mr. Dessureau has been instrumental in advancing several major exploration and development projects throughout the Yukon Territory including Fireweed Zinc’s Macmillan Pass Project, Golden Predator’s Brewery Creek and 3 Aces deposits, and Yukon Zinc’s Wolverine polymetallic VMS deposit advancing it through pre-feasibility and into commercial production. He is the Owner/Principal Geologist of Solidus Geological Services (since 2007) and has been providing geological and managerial services to a wide variety of companies in the mineral exploration industry. Mr. Dessureau graduated with a Master’s degree from Laurentian University in Sudbury following a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from St. Mary’s University in Halifax. He is a Professional Geologist registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) and the Association of Professional Geologists of Ontario (APGO).

Jodie Gibson, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Chief Geologist
Mr. Gibson is a professional geologist with over 15 years mineral exploration experience throughout the North American Cordillera from Alaska to Mexico; including syngenetic and epigenetic precious and base metal systems. He was the Project Manager of the Underworld Resources Inc. exploration team that discovered and defined the Golden Saddle and Arc deposits. These assets were subsequently sold to Kinross in 2010 for $139 million., Mr. Gibson also served as Vice President Exploration for White Gold Corp where he oversaw over $30 million in exploration activities with highlights including expansion of the Golden Saddle and Arc deposits and five new discoveries across the White Gold district; including the high-grade Vertigo discovery on the JP Ross property. In 2020, Mr. Gibson  was recognized as the 2020 Yukon Prospector of the Year.

Scott Price, M.Sc.
VP Exploration (USA)
Mr. Price has over 35 years’ mineral exploration experience in western North America including employment with Hunter Dickinson Group, Battle Mountain Gold, and Noranda Exploration. Gold exploration in Nevada has been the primary focus of his career. Mr. Price joined and eventually led the exploration team responsible for discovering the Hollister high-grade epithermal vein system for Great Basin Gold. He was a key participant in the discovery that expanded the Pebble porphyry Cu-Au deposit to world class size for Northern Dynasty Minerals, and a member of the development team at the Phoenix deposit in the Battle Mountain Complex. Since 2008 he has operated his own consulting business devoted to geology and mineral discovery in Nevada and has worked with Sitka Gold Corp since its inception. Mr. Price holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Wyoming and a M.Sc. degree from Washington State University, both in geology.

Stephen Pearce
CFO and Director
Stephen Pearce has a law degree from the University of British Columbia and an honours degree in economics from York University with an emphasis on corporate finance. He focuses in corporate and securities work. Mr. Pearce serves as a director and officer of several resource related public companies and has been involved with several small underground mining operations including brief periods acting as Mine Manager. Mr. Pearce is active in his community and serves as President of Western Regional Advocacy Group Society, a non-profit organization which works in partnership with Sleep Country Canada to provide free mattresses to those in our community most in need.

Louis Archambeault, M.Eng.
Independent Director
Mr. Archambeault is a senior mining executive with more than 20 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, capital markets, M&A, and technical project development. He spent over six years at CIBC World Markets, advancing to the role of Director, where he acted as an investment banking financial advisor to companies in the mining sector. From 2014 to 2016, he served as Director of Corporate Development at Goldcorp. He later held the position of Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development at Orezone Gold Corp from 2018 to 2022, where he played a key role in advancing the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

Angus Campbell, B.Sc.
Independent Director
Mr. Campbell is a Geologist with over 30 years of global project experience. He has extensive exploration and operational knowledge gained by working on greenfield, brownfield and mine development projects. Most recently he was Vice President of Exploration for Sabina Gold and Silver Corp. which was acquired by B2Gold Corp. in 2023 for $1.2 billion. During his 10 years with Sabina, Angus led exploration initiatives that resulted in new deposit discovery and over 2.5 million ounces of resource growth. Prior to Sabina, Angus was Exploration Manager for Chile with BHP Billiton based in Santiago. Throughout his career he has held senior technical positions with a focus on Health Safety Environment and Community, business development and discovery. He has worked throughout North and South America and parts of Asia. Angus was a member of Rio Algom’s Spence copper deposit discovery team in Chile who were honoured with the PDAC Bill Denis award in 1998.

Caroline Hendrick, JD
Independent Director
Caroline Hendrick, JD, is a corporate and securities lawyer at DuMoulin Black, where she advises public and private companies on capital markets transactions and corporate matters. Her experience includes public offerings, private financings, mergers and acquisitions, including acting for underwriters and agents in private placements. She also provides guidance on corporate governance, continuous disclosure, and regulatory compliance. Caroline is admitted to practice in British Columbia and New York.

Caroline’s addition to the board strengthens Sitka’s governance and capital markets expertise at an important stage of growth.
