- Management team Heye Daun — President & CEO Heye Daun is a successful mining entrepreneur who has created significant shareholder value in various mining transactions in Namibia and Ecuador, with a focus on gold and copper. A former mining engineer with Rio Tinto, AngloGold Ashanti and Gold Fields in Namibia and West Africa, in 2009 he became a mining venture capitalist and project developer. As President & CEO of Koryx Copper since 2024 he has been driving the development of its Haib Cu Project in southern Namibia, aiming to fast track and deliver Haib as a world-class open-pit copper mine. Lionel Coetzee — Country Manager Lionel is a mining professional with 24 years' experience spanning operations, mineral processing, capital project development, renewable energy integration and strategy development across the resources sector. He holds a B.Tech Extractive Metallurgy from the University of Johannesburg and several post-graduate qualifications, including a Global MBA from the Oxford Brookes University. Lionel spent the bulk of his career at Namdeb, a joint-venture diamond business between the De Beers Group and the Government of the Republic of Namibia. Here he played a leading role in the development of Namdeb's long-term plan, which averted closure in 2021 and extended the life-of-mine to 2042, and implemented several technological innovations that have yielded large-scale cost reductions. Jon Andrew — VP Exploration Jon is a professional geologist with more than 30 years' experience in exploration and mining geology in Africa and the Middle East, including diverse experience in precious, base and rare metals and industrial minerals. He was formerly with Gold Fields and BHP Billiton and also Albidon Limited, North River Resources and Osino Resources Corp. Jon was responsible for and played an integral part in the start-up and management of Osino's exploration programs since 2016 and the discovery of the 3.5moz Twin Hills gold discovery in 2019. Albertina Mwandingi — Project Geologist Albertina is a seasoned geologist with over six years' professional experience in gold, lithium, uranium & copper exploration. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Namibia and began her career with Osino Resources. She has extensive experience in regional exploration methods such as surface sampling, mapping, all aspects of drill programmes and a strong background in GIS and 3D geological software. Albertina's experience leading field teams, especially in remote and complex terrains, is key to her role at Koryx overseeing drilling operations, with a strong commitment to the highest safety and environmental standards. Steve Burks — Senior Metallurgical Study Consultant Steve is a mineral processing specialist with over 40 years of wide-ranging process plant & mining experience. Having previously held leading and expert roles with Bateman Engineering, Advisian, Whittle Consulting Africa and Lycopodium Minerals Africa, Steve is a specialist in mineral processing, feasibility study oversight and FEED/Ops readiness preparation for mining projects. Steve formerly led the metallurgical testwork, feasibility to DFS, coordination of FEED and lender DD process at Osino Resources on the Twin Hills Gold Project in Namibia. Tony da Silva — CFO Tony is an experienced finance professional in private and public companies, auditing and asset management. He is the former CFO of Osino Resources Corp. and has been instrumental in the successful advancement, financing and sale of Osino Resources Corp. As CFO he has been responsible for multiple financings, go-public processes and ensuring compliance and financial controls in multiple jurisdictions. Charles Creasy — VP Project Development Charles is a former Randgold exploration geologist with over 24 years' experience in greenfields exploration, project development, feasibility study and general management in West, Central and southern Africa. He was responsible for project technical studies and financial evaluations. More recently as the Feasibility Manager for Osino Resources he led the successful completion of various technical studies including mine permitting for Osino's Twin Hills Gold Project, which is currently in construction. Robert Zipplies — VP Sustainability/Responsible Mining Robert is a sustainability specialist with over 20 years' experience assisting companies to embed social and environmental performance standards. With a background in mechanical engineering and an MBA, he most recently worked with Osino Resources as Sustainability Manager to help develop and implement their responsible mining frameworks – focusing on local content, community development, environmental stewardship and sustainability reporting for Osino and its Twin Hills Gold Project. Russell Cranswick — Regional Geology Manager Russell is a geologist with over 11 years' experience in the mining and mineral exploration industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) Geology degree from Rhodes University, and an MSc in Economic Geology from the University of the Witwatersrand. Russell began his career as an underground mine geologist for Sibanye Stillwater at Driefontein Mine, before moving on to cut his teeth in greenfields exploration as a field geologist for Remote Exploration Services. In this role, he accumulated valuable exposure to a wide range of commodities and deposit types in southern Africa. More recently Russell worked as a consulting geologist in Zimbabwe on orthomagmatic nickel-copper sulphide deposits, and in Saudi Arabia on early-stage orogenic gold prospects. Tulina Ndevaetela — Project Geologist Tulina has an MSc in Geology and brings a strong blend of technical and operational capability to her role as a Project Geologist at Koryx Copper. She has over six years' experience in mineral exploration and mining operations across base and precious metals, and diamonds. She gained her foundational experience in exploration at Osino Resources and currently leads project planning and operational coordination at Koryx Copper. Tulina has both Namibian and international work experience in exploration and production environments and is skilled in aligning technical work with corporate objectives, team leadership, contractor management, and stakeholder engagement. Simson Kupindi — Operations Geology Manager Simson Kupindi has over 15 years' experience with much of this in supervisory and management roles. He holds a BSc (Honours) in Geology from the University of Namibia and has built a strong track record across diverse projects in Southern and West Africa with various companies including Rio Tinto and Kobold Metals. Simson is passionate about mineral exploration with a strong focus on data-informed decisions, quality assurance and operational efficiency – contributing to the sustainable growth of the mining sector, especially in Namibia. Charles Loots — Non-Executive Director Charles Loots is a Namibian resident and a dual South African and Australian citizen. He has 24 years' experience in the mining industry and is an Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) specialist within Namibia and throughout Africa. He is currently Project Support Manager for Osino Resources in Namibia. From 2012 to 2023, he was General Manager – Corporate & Director for B2 Gold in Namibia. Prior to those roles, he was General Manager & Director of Auryx Gold Namibia, Manager Corporate Affairs for Anvil Mining and Community Manager for AngloGold Ashanti overviewing seven mines in Mali, Tanzania, Namibia, Guinea and Ghana. Cristina Lara — Non-Executive Director Cristina Lara has been serving as Director for Luxembourg entities for over 15 years.
